At Team Jak, we understand how overwhelming life can feel when your child is seriously ill. That’s why we offer a wide range of practical support services to help ease the pressure at home and beyond, so you can focus on what matters most. Our practical support is flexible and responsive, delivered in your home, at hospital, or from our welcoming Jak’s Dens in Livingston and Aberdeen.
Looking for support for your child, family, or want to refer someone you know? Please get in touch today.
Thanks to a grant, we can offer help with travel costs to our Livingston Jak’s Den for those on tight budgets. We can also sometimes provide lifts to allow children and their families to get to and from our outings. Just contact us and we will do our best to help.
Schoolwork can easily fall behind when a child is unwell. We offer tutoring and homework support for both warriors and siblings, with help from a team of qualified teachers and trusted contacts. This can include working directly with your child or liaising with their school.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Over the years, we’ve helped cut the grass, do the shopping, cleaning, and ironing, and organise family celebrations. Our team is always open to exploring creative ways to help make life easier for our families — just get in touch.
We provide emotional, social and practical support to children & young people with cancer, their families, friends and those bereaved
