Our Team Jak Named Funds are a very special way to honour the life and legacy of a young person who is no longer with us. Each fund is created in their name and supports causes, activities, or services that reflect their passions, personalities, and the love they inspired in others.
Families work with us to shape each Named Fund, whether that’s by bringing joy through music, offering comfort to other bereaved families, or funding special experiences that spark smiles in hospital wards. These funds keep a young person’s memory alive in rich and meaningful ways and allow others to carry their light forward.
We’re proud to share and support these lasting legacies.

Louise Matthew was just nine years old when she was diagnosed with a rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). She was artistic, caring, and adored by everyone who knew her.
Her journey included multiple hospital stays, a stem cell transplant, and months of intensive treatment, all faced with courage and creativity. She relapsed after Christmas 2019, and passed away aged 11 in May 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Her family created Louise’s Love to help other families on the same journey. It’s a way to give back and ensure her memory brings strength and comfort to others through Team Jak. This fund makes a real difference, providing practical help and easing the load for those who — like Louise and her family before them — are going through the unimaginable.

Darcy Rae McGuire was diagnosed with chordoma, an extremely rare childhood bone cancer, and passed away in December 2019 aged just eight.
Bold, funny, and full of energy, Darcy loved helping others and started fundraising even while going through treatment. Her family describe her as a feisty wee girl with a huge personality, who had a knack of making everyone around her smile.
Darcy Rae’s Dream was set up to carry that joy forward. Through this fund, her memory helps children and families smile through the darkest days. Every donation raised through Team Jak in her name brings hope, happiness, and comfort to those who need it most.

Francesca Mancini was studying Biomedical Science in Edinburgh when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. She returned home to Glasgow for treatment and faced it with strength, humour, and love. Five days before she passed — aged just 20 — in September 2016, she led a large 10k charity walk team and completed the course, determined to help others despite being in pain.
She was inspiring, deeply caring and thoughtful to the end, writing letters to loved ones and even drafting her own Facebook obituary to spare her family the heartbreaking task.
Her family created Francesca’s Wishes in her honour to help Team Jak support others, just as they in turn had been supported. Her legacy lives on through every act of kindness made possible by this fund.

Iona was diagnosed in 2024 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) at age 6. Her treatment should have finished in early 2026, however she was diagnosed with a second, extremely rare malignancy, Histiocytic Sarcoma, in the autumn of 2025. Iona endured long months of treatment as an in-patient. She died following complications of a stem cell transplant in April 2026.
Iona was always a happy girl, always smiling and so full of life. As her physical world became more restricted due to long hospital stays in isolation, her love of dancing, music, and playing with friends as in-person connection was substituted by social connection playing games with family and friends online. She was only able to maintain these outside connections through the medium of a dongle purchased by a family friend.
Iona’s family wants children in similar circumstances to maintain social connection with family and friends online by availability of enhanced wifi. Team Jak is administering this fund which allows isolated in-patients to join with the world beyond the confines of their hospital bed. Please help us to help these children by making a small donation here!
We provide emotional, social and practical support to children & young people with cancer, their families, friends and those bereaved
