We’ve seen first-hand the energy that’s created when people join forces. A number of community groups including youth clubs, places of worship, choirs, fitness classes and book clubs are some of our most amazing Team Jak fundraising heroes.
Some groups get involved in support of someone special, others just because they want to help. Either way, every penny they raise makes a difference to families across Scotland facing childhood cancer.
Can you think of a few ways your community could help make a difference?
There are lots of ways you can help us at Team Jak, but here are some popular ideas to get you thinking:
Host a coffee morning or afternoon tea
Organise a quiz night or charity raffle or auction
Plan a sponsored walk, cycle, or fun run
Hold a bake sale, craft fair, or car boot sale
Put on a talent show, karaoke, or community concert
Join or create a Kiltwalk team
Nominate Team Jak as your group’s Charity of the Year
However you choose to help, your fundraising will make a real difference to children and young people when they need it most.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. We can help with fundraising advice and ideas, promotional materials and banners, Team Jak merchandise, social media shout-outs, plus talks or presentations about our work. Whether your event is big or small, we’d love to hear from you and celebrate your community’s amazing support.
We provide emotional, social and practical support to children & young people with cancer, their families, friends and those bereaved
