Committing to events and challenges for Team Jak — one of ours or one of your own — means as much to us as it does to you. That’s because your achievements are helping families across Scotland feel less alone on their childhood cancer journey.
Every pound you raise goes towards our unique mix of emotional, social, and practical support for children and young people with cancer, their families, and those who are bereaved.
So please make your next crazy fundraising goal a Team Jak fundraiser, knowing that when the going gets tough your efforts are helping others when they need it most.
There are so many ways to raise much-needed funds for Team Jak. Here are a few ideas to get you started…
Kiltwalk — Join a Team Jak Kiltwalk and 100% of what you raise will come to us, thanks to The Hunter Foundation underwriting our costs.
Running events — From 5Ks to ultra-marathons, go the distance to help Team Jak create smiles and ease journeys.
Extreme challenges — Skydive, bungee jump, or maybe abseil and know you’re doing more than stepping outside your comfort zone.
Sponsored challenges — Shave your head, take a sponsored vow of silence, or give up something. How about chocolate? Or cake? Or even coffee or beer?
Whatever challenge you rise to, we’ll support you with our Team Jak t-shirts and fundraising materials — plus we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
Hosting a fundraiser is a powerful way to raise money your way — and bring people together at the same time. You can make your event big or small, silly or serious. As they say, every little helps.
Popular ideas include:
Quiz nights and bingo parties
Bake sales and tuck shops
Coffee mornings
School discos or day-time dance-a-thons
Football tournaments or golf days
Karaoke, concerts, or talent shows
Sponsored walks, swims, or cycles
Raffles or tombolas
Organise your own event in aid of Team Jak, and we’ll help promote it. Just let us know what you’re planning — we’d love to hear from you.
Every event helps Team Jak support families facing childhood cancer, whether you’re lacing up your boots for the next Kiltwalk or dressing up for a night of fizz and fundraising. Join us at one of our upcoming events, or just come along and cheer! Every step, mile, smile, and donation counts.
