Our Fife-based Jak’s Den Pop-up is run from St Columba’s Church in Glenrothes where most activities take place, including a range of emotional, social and practical support services.
On offer are a mix of sessions for children and young people, siblings, parents and carers, and we can arrange individual support from a music therapist, or counsellor. Our Fife Den is also involved in our Twilight Sessions programme, which includes yoga, mindfulness and other calming, creative activities for parents and carers.
The Fife Team Jak team can provide one-to-one home and hospital visits along with telephone support.
We also have a closed Facebook Group just for our Fife Jak’s Den families where you can find out more about what we offer and connect privately with others on the same journey.
The Fife Den is open every third Saturday of the month with other parent and family events held throughout the year.
B’s confidence has grown since being part of the Team Jak family. The proof is her standing up and singing a solo at Ladies’ Day and the numerous times she has performed Have Hope and Be Happy with all her friends.
Team Jak are fantastic. Full of fun and creativity. Macy loves coming and now brings her wee bestie Millie who loves it too.
Jak’s Den is our safe place whenever we need it. The team always have an understanding of how we are feeling and we’re never made to feel like a burden, ever. Not sure where we’d be without you all.
Team Jak are amazing! We wouldn’t have got through the last three years without their constant support and being our shoulder to cry on whenever we needed them all.
Team Jak, you are truly incredible. Your love and support from the very start of A’s cancer journey has given our family the strength to get through some really dark days. The Den has provided us with a safe space to make so many happy memories as well as the chance to connect with other families.
The den is always a very safe and welcoming place with lots of activities to suit all children. It’s great being able to sit and relax knowing the children are having fun and being children.
Team Jak are still by our side years on from finishing treatment. They still provide us with so many activities that allow us to meet old and new families to share our experiences and just be there for one another. We couldn’t do it without you all
Jak’s Den at Livingston is our family’s safety net. Even if we can’t get there as much as we did, we know everyone is there for us — always. My girl loves taking part in all the Den activities, and Team Jak has helped our family in more ways than they will ever know.
My daughter loves any type of crafts and playing in the garden. She loves the staff and volunteers and talks about them a lot. She is always excited to visit the den.
